Zhiwei Fang
Robotics PhD Student
EE, CUHK
I'm currently a second year PhD student in the department of electronic engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), under the supervision of Prof. Hongliang Ren. My research interests are the navigation of neurosurgical robots, including planning and control. I have the experience of developing robot structures, optimized and learning-based control. My work also involves surgical perception utilization and surgical scenario applications.
Prior to that, I received the B.Sc. in mechanical engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), under the supervision of Prof. Shiwu Zhang and Prof. Wei Gao. My bachelor thesis title is "Optimization of Locomotion Control for Two-Segmented Leg under Variable Payloads". I also have a submajor in business management.
